Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT Kereta Api Indonesia or KAI (Persero) explained the chronology of the collapse of the Argo Semeru train connecting Surabaya Gubeng-Gambir and the Argo Wilis train connecting Bandung-Surabaya Gubeng. The accident occurred between Sentolo Station and Wates Station on Tuesday (17/10/2023) at 13.15.
Krisbiantoro, Public Relations Manager of KAI DAOP VI, apologized for the accident, because the route was temporarily impassable. According to Krisbiantoro, the cause of the accident is not yet known. Kris also denied that the Argo Semeru train was hit by the Wilis train.
