Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- President Joko Widodo’s working visit to Beijing China and attending the Belt and Road Forum (BRF) resulted in a number of investment agreements which also included expanding cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) or ‘China’s Modern Silk Road’ in developing IKN.

Chairman of the Asia Pacific Standing Committee of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yohanes Lukiman, sees the positive impact of BRI on RI-China cooperative relations with the increasing number of Chinese investments in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director of INDEF, Eko Listiyanto, generally views BRI as helping accelerate investment, but the Government must pay attention to the effects of debt on developing countries.
