Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Presidential candidates (capres) and vice presidential candidates (cawapres) have begun to register with the General Election Commission (KPU) to participate in the 2024 presidential election.
Apart from their political track record, vision and mission, and wealth, the appearance and lifestyle of the candidate pairs are also in the spotlight of Indonesian society. One of the appearances that is highlighted is the watch used.
So, what watches do Anies Baswedan, Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka wear?
1. Anies Baswedan

On a number of occasions, the Tissot PRC 200 Chronograph watch was seen around the wrist of the former Governor of Jakarta.
Based on the official Tissot website, this watch is priced at US$525 or around Rp. 8.32 million (assuming an exchange rate of Rp. 15,865/US$).
“Tissot PRC 200 Chronograph” with display sporty this is a watch that is water resistant to 200 meters or about 660 feet. In detail, Anies’ watch has a diameter of 43 mm with a stainless steel strap.
2. Muhaimin Iskandar

The vice presidential candidate who accompanied Anies, Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin, was recorded as having the most expensive watch when compared to the other candidates.
Cak Imin was once seen wearing a “Rolex Submariner Date “Starbucks” 126610LV” watch with an official price of IDR 163,193,500.
The Rolex Submariner Date “Starbucks” 126610LV” is a 41 mm watch made from oystersteel or a stainless steel alloy commonly called 904L. Similar to Anies’ watch, this watch is also water resistant up to 300 meters or around 1,000 feet.
“This watch is produced by Rolex from hard, corrosion-resistant ceramic and the Cerachrom bezel insert is almost scratch-resistant,” wrote Rolex’s official website, quoted on Tuesday (24/10/2023).
“The serrated edges of the bezel are designed to provide excellent grip underwater, even when the user is wearing gloves,” continues Rolex.
2. Reward Pranowo

PDI-P presidential candidate, Ganjar Pranowo, was seen wearing a “Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar” when he met with the leadership of Al Hikam Islamic Boarding School, Malang, while enjoying durian.
The watch used by the former Governor of Central Java is a smart watch (smartwatch) which can charge the battery through exposure to sunlight or solar power. This luxury watch is priced at IDR 13,499,000 according to the official Garmin Indonesia website.
Apart from being able to show the time, “Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar” also functions to provide heart rate data, listen to music, display navigation with TOPO maps, alarms, thermometers, calendars, and other sports applications.
Meanwhile, the lens material used is Power Glass with a screen diameter of 33.02 mm and a stainless steel or titanium frame material coated with Diamond-like-Carbon. According to the official website, the battery life of the Ganjar watch is up to 14 days.
3. Prabowo Subianto

Presidential candidate and Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto, is the person who wears the cheapest watch when compared to other candidates, namely the “Timex Expedition Scout TW4B04700” with a price of IDR 643 thousand. The watch was seen wrapped around Prabowo’s hand, one of which was when the Gerindra Chairman held a meeting with Perindo Chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo.
The watch used by the richest presidential candidate with total assets of IDR 2.03 trillion has a diameter of 40 mm with a strap made of canvas/nylon/cloth. Meanwhile, this watch can survive in water up to a depth of 50 meters.
4. Gibran Rakabuming Raka

The vice presidential candidate who accompanies Prabowo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, is the second figure who owns the cheapest watch, namely the “Casio General DBC-611-1DF Calculator” for IDR 785 thousand. Gibran has worn this watch on many occasions, one of which was at the launch of Goola, the vice president’s beverage business which unfortunately has now gone out of business.
This Solo Mayor’s watch has a retro appearance which has a unique appeal, namely that it has keyboards small at the bottom digital displays to support the calculator feature. The calculator is claimed to support two modes, namely arithmetic operations and currency conversion.
This watch measures 33.1 mm case materials plastic and strap material stainless steel.
