Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) released a list of the hottest cities in Indonesia for 17 October 2023 at 07.00 WIB to 18 October 2023 at 07.00 WIB, Wednesday (18/10/2023).
Based on the daily maximum temperature report in Indonesia released via the official Instagram account (@infobmkg), Kertajati, Majalengka, West Java is the hottest city in Indonesia with the highest recorded temperature of 38.6 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the second position as the hottest city is occupied by Banten with the highest temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius. This data was recorded by the Banten Climatology Station.
Meanwhile, the third position of the hottest city in Indonesia is occupied by the South Tangerang region with a maximum temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius. This figure is based on records from the Center for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Region II in South Tangerang.
According to BMKG, there are a number of main factors that cause hot air temperatures in Indonesia, namely the dry season, the apparent position of the sun which moves south of the equator, and other natural factors.
“Other factors [penyebab suhu udara panas di Indonesia]”, such as wind speed, cloud cover and air humidity levels, also influence hot temperature conditions in an area,” explained BMKG in a different upload, quoted Wednesday (18/10/2023).
