HEI School is the first Finnish curriculum-based school in Indonesia. In collaboration with the University of Helsinki, Finland, HEI Schools is one of a kind preschool (early childhood education) which is directly affiliated with the Finnish Embassy in Indonesia.
Adopting an educational philosophy from Finland, HEI Schools not only emphasizes academics for children, but also uses a holistic-based approach, including the play approach that children need.
The curriculum at this Finnish school is specifically designed to train students to be independent. Therefore, apart from studying and playing, students also practice how to use the toilet, clean up leftover food, and even prepare their own mattresses when they are scheduled to take a nap.
Monthly fees at HEI Schools Senayan start from IDR 8 million to IDR 13 million per month depending on the child’s age. Apart from that, the starting fee for starting school starts from IDR 22 million to IDR 50 million.

Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS) is a school under a foundation led by a committee board, namely representatives of Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and parent representatives.
Similar to other international schools, JIS is equipped with luxurious facilities, namely a theater, tennis court, gym, playing field, swimming pool, technology workshop, science laboratory and library with a total collection of 130 copies.
Based on information on the official website, the fee for applying for education registration until December 31 2023 is IDR 5 million. Please note, this fee must be paid when students register and is non-refundable.

Pelita Harapan School (SPH) is an international Christian school spread across a number of areas, namely Lippo Village, Tangerang Regency; Sentul City, Bogor Regency; Lippo Cikarang, Bekasi; Kemang Village, South Jakarta; and Pluit Village, North Jakarta.
According to the official website, SPH presents two international curricula, namely International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge. Meanwhile, students can choose one of the two curricula offered by SPH.
To study kindergarten at SPH Lippo Village, parents must be prepared to pay tuition fees of IDR 74 million for Pre-Kindergarten and IDR 119 million for K1-K3. Apart from that, there is an Education Development Fund (DPP) that must be paid starting from IDR 56.5 million, except for Pre-Kindergarten.
5. British School Jakarta

British School Jakarta is a school founded under the auspices of the British Embassy in Indonesia. This school, which is located in Bintaro Sector 9, Tangerang, has luxurious facilities, namely a tennis court, Olympic standard swimming pool, basketball court, gym and dance studio.
Currently, British School Jakarta has partnered with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in introducing compassionate system training and tools.
According to the official British School Jakarta website, parents must pay IDR 7 million for the registration application fee and IDR 30 million for the deposit, aka security deposit.

After submitting a registration application and before registering, Deutsche Schule Jakarta emphasizes that prospective students are required to take a trial class.
Especially for children who cannot speak German, Deutsche Schule Jakarta will provide special trial classes to see the child’s ability to take German language classes.
