How to delete personal data on Google so that people don’t steal it Tech – 6 hours ago

There are ways that can be used to delete personal data so that it is not stolen by someone. This feature can be a useful tool for removing some of your personal information from Google Search.

So it should be noted, this method does not mean that the information is deleted from the entire internet or website. It will still be there, but it won’t appear when other people search for your name, so it will be harder for people to find that information.


This feature is called Delete This Result, which is currently still in Beta version.

If you want to try it, here are the steps you can try, quoted from CNBC InternationalWednesday (25/10/2023).

  • Search your name on Google.
  • Click on the three vertical dots next to the website whose information you want to delete.
  • Press “Clear results” at the top right.
  • There are five options, but for phone number, email and home address, select “This shows my personal contact info.”.
  • Press the arrow on the right and then press “Continue” three times after you’ve reviewed Google’s terms and signed in to the Google account you want to link.
  • Type your name and contact information that matches what you want to delete. For example, if you want to delete a private phone number, make sure it is entered. – Click “Continue.” then “Send.”
  • You can press “I’m done” to return to the Google Search page.

If you have and want to review the request press the “Open deletion request” bar. This process may take several days, but Google will notify you via the email listed regarding the removal decision. Users can also check Google activity to see the status of requests.
