“Mas Ganjar and I will continue the dream of pursuing a golden Indonesia in 2045,” said Mahfud, at the PDIP DPP Office, in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (18/10/2023).

Mahfud said that to realize this ideal, the Indonesian people must fulfill a number of conditions. Such as a strong national ideology, a good economy, upheld law and justice, democratic politics, and a vibrant culture of mutual cooperation that also prioritizes brotherhood.

Apart from that, specifically for law enforcement, according to Mahfud, this must be done properly, including eradicating corruption.

In his speech, Mahfud also said that he had known the figure of presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo since 2004. According to him, Ganjar was a popular figure, brave and able to correct wrong things, as well as fight for political values ​​that he believed were right.

“If law enforcement is carried out correctly, half of this nation’s problems, God willing, will be resolved. If the law is good, then all aspects of people’s lives will be good too,” said Mahfud.

Indonesia’s dream of becoming a developed, just and civilized nation, in welcoming a golden Indonesia in 2045 will be realized if we fulfill a number of conditions, namely a strong national ideology, a good economy, upheld law and justice, democratic politics, a culture of mutual cooperation, and prioritizing brotherhood. In political development, our country adheres to democracy where power is in the hands of the people. In its implementation, democracy requires nomocracy, democracy is the sovereignty of the people, while nomocracy is the sovereignty of the law. Democracy without nomocracy will be anarchy, nomocracy without democracy will be arbitrary. So the two must go hand in hand and be balanced.

Democracy respects differences and these differences are natural or created by God, differences between humans, races, tribes and religions are created and willed by God himself.

I have known Mas Ganjar for a long time since 2004 – 2008, we were members of the Republic of Indonesia’s DPR together and we often discussed and visited each other when Mas Ganjar led Central Java and I was chairman of the Constitutional Court.
